Trevor d'Laine, the radio talk show host with the warm, sexy voice, bills himself as the Prince of Darkness and claims to be a bona fide vampire. Kay Erickson is sure this is nonsense just part of the theatrics that go with show business. She applies for a job as his assistant. The interview is held in the middle of the night, and he insists on calling her his Renfield. She slowly realizes Trevor is exactly what he says he is and that he relishes every minute of his existence. Like most of his species, he is a nice person. He has never killed anyone and, in fact, now belongs to a vampire group that gets their blood supply without attacking humans. Not all vampires, though, agree with this attitude. Vampires are to be feared, they believe. This group causes quite a few problems for Kay and Trevor, who have fallen in love. |
